Homeowner’s 4-Season Checklist

🌱 Spring (March – May)

Inspect roof, gutters, and downspouts for winter damage.
Power wash siding, driveways, decks, and patios.
Refresh exterior paint/touch-ups.
Service HVAC system before summer.
Clean windows inside and out.
Test irrigation/sprinkler systems.
Mulch garden beds and prune shrubs/trees.
Declutter garage, attic, and storage.
Deep clean interiors: carpets, baseboards, and high-touch areas.

☀️ Summer (June – August)

☑ Check for pests (ants, wasps, rodents).
Inspect and reseal deck/patio.
Service and clean outdoor BBQ, fire pits, and entertaining spaces.
Maintain lawn, trim hedges, and flower beds.
Wash solar panels if applicable.
Monitor roof, siding, and foundation for moss or algae.
Clean ceiling fans and rotate blades.
Check attic insulation.
Replace or clean window screens.

🍂 Fall (September – November)

Clean gutters and downspouts.
Inspect and reseal caulking around windows and doors.
Service heating system; replace filters.
Test smoke & CO detectors.
Drain and shut down sprinkler systems.
Inspect fireplace and chimney.
Store or cover outdoor furniture.
Rake leaves and aerate lawn.
Declutter interior spaces.

❄️ Winter (December – February)

Service furnace/boiler and replace filters.
Insulate exposed pipes.
Test sump pump and drainage systems.
Stock de-icer and maintain walkways.
Check roof for loose shingles.
Seal drafts with weatherstripping or caulk.
Reverse ceiling fans to circulate warm air.
Test backup generator.
Deep clean and declutter interior.
